活動内容

私たちは、2013年から「アートを通して世界を豊かにする」というミッションのもと、友人2人でA Cup Of Art (ACOA)を立ち上げました。その後、それぞれが親となり子育てをする中で、世界の紛争や国際社会の複雑な状況を目の当たりにし、子どもたちが多角的な視点を持って世界を理解して関われるようになる学びの場所の必要性を感じるようになりました。しかし、国際教育はまだ広く浸透しておらず、一部の層にしか提供されていないのが現状です。

「すべての子どもに、世界に影響を与えるチャンスを」

この思いを胸に、私たちは家庭の経済状況に関係なく、国際教育を誰にでも開放し、平等な学びの機会を提供するためOPENBOOKを立ち上げました。現在賛同メンバーは様々なバックグラウンドや国籍を持つ10名。

国際社会における様々な問題は私たちの生活に密接に関わっています。私たちの言葉が、行動が、世界にどのような影響を与えているのか、そんなことを世界の様々な視点から捉えられる学びの場になってほしいと願っています。日本国内だけに目を向けた教育では、こうした国際的な視点を得るのは難しいという現状を踏まえ、私たちが貢献できる範囲で、国際的な教育の普及に努めていきたいと考えています。

History of OPENBOOK (A Cup Of Art):

Emi and Mayuu started A Cup Of Art (ACOA) in 2013 with the mission of "enriching the world through art". Later, as each of us became parents and raised our children, we witnessed conflicts around the world and the complexities of the global world, and came to realize the need for a place of learning where children can understand and relate to the world from multiple perspectives. However, international education is still not widely spread and only offered to a small segment of the population.

Every child should have a chance to make an impact on the world: With this in mind, we launched OPENBOOK to open international education to everyone, regardless of their family's financial situation, and to provide equal learning opportunities. Currently, we have 10 supporting members from various backgrounds and nationalities.

Various issues in the global world are closely related to our lives. We hope that OPENBOOK will become a place for learning how our voices and actions could positively affect the world, and how we can see such things from various perspectives around the world. Given the current situation, it's difficult to gain such international perspectives through education focused only on Japan. We are committed to promoting international education as much as possible.
