    • グローバルシティズンとして「国際社会を生き抜く力」を育成するために、多様な視点と広い視野で物事を理解し、行動する力を重視。そのために必要な「クリティカルシンキング」と「問題解決能力」を高めるため、「リサーチ」と「ディスカッション」を全ての教科に組み込む。In order to cultivate “the ability to live as a citizen of the global world, we emphasize the ability to understand and act on things from diverse viewpoints and a broad perspective. To enhance the “critical thinking” and “problem-solving skills” necessary for this, we are looking for individuals who can teach “research” and “discussion” integrated into all subjects.

    ・週1以上、決められた曜日に毎週参加できる方
    ・以下いずれかを教えられる方
    １．英語を用いて中高生に地歴公民を教えられる方
    ２．在日外国人学生の語学支援（マルチリンガル歓迎）
    ・大学生以上（教育分野での経験があると望ましい）
    ※上記以外の科目を教えられる方も歓迎（一度ご相談ください）
    ※現在、ローンチ前の準備段階であるため、協力し合いながら柔軟に活動していただける方を希望します。

    Requirements:
    Applicants must be able to attend at least one class per week on a set day of the week. Applicants must be able to teach one of the following
    1. Teach geography, history, and civics to junior high and high school students in English.
    2. Language support for foreign students living in Japan (multilinguals welcome)
    *A certain level of Japanese language proficiency is required.
    *University student or above (experience in the education field is desirable)
    *People who can teach subjects other than those listed above are also welcome (please consult with us).
    *As we are currently in the pre-launch preparation stage, we are looking for members who are willing to work cooperatively and flexibly.

    - Are able to guide each student and work closely with them to help them grow.
    - Have the flexibility to proactively adopt new educational methods.

    環境問題や貧困、紛争、人権問題などの国際的な時事問題についてリサーチを行い、ディスカッションやプレゼンテーションをする。

    Do you want to be a part of NPO that provides education to build the future?

    Children's desire to learn more should be valued above all else.

    OPENBOOK aims to provide a place for all children to learn in a way that does not place a burden on families, so that economic disparity does not become a disparity in children's career possibilities.


    As a teacher your main tasks will be:

    Curriculum implementation and preparation

    Individualized support for students

    Providing feedback to improve the curriculum

    Collaboration with parents and other teachers and staff


    Subjects:

    International Studies

    Geography and Civics (Basic) in English

    Reading and understanding global world through English newspapers

    How to write a thesis

    How to do presentations

    Students will conduct research on international current affairs such as environmental issues, poverty, conflicts, and human rights issues, and engage in discussions and presentations.

    OPENBOOK（A Cup Of Art）の団体活動内容

    私たちは、2013年から「アートを通して世界を豊かにする」というミッションのもと、友人2人でA Cup Of Art (ACOA)を立ち上げました。その後、それぞれが親となり子育てをする中で、世界の紛争や国際社会の複雑な状況を目の当たりにし、子どもたちが多角的な視点を持って世界を理解して関われるようになる学びの場所の必要性を感じるようになりました。しかし、国際教育はまだ広く浸透しておらず、一部の層にしか提供されていないのが現状です。


    「すべての子どもに、世界に影響を与えるチャンスを」


    この思いを胸に、私たちは家庭の経済状況に関係なく、国際教育を誰にでも開放し、平等な学びの機会を提供するためOPENBOOKを立ち上げました。現在賛同メンバーは様々なバックグラウンドや国籍を持つ10名。


    国際社会における様々な問題は私たちの生活に密接に関わっています。私たちの言葉が、行動が、世界にどのような影響を与えているのか、そんなことを世界の様々な視点から捉えられる学びの場になってほしいと願っています。日本国内だけに目を向けた教育では、こうした国際的な視点を得るのは難しいという現状を踏まえ、私たちが貢献できる範囲で、国際的な教育の普及に努めていきたいと考えています。


    History of OPENBOOK (A Cup Of Art):

    Emi and Mayuu started A Cup Of Art (ACOA) in 2013 with the mission of "enriching the world through art". Later, as each of us became parents and raised our children, we witnessed conflicts around the world and the complexities of the global world, and came to realize the need for a place of learning where children can understand and relate to the world from multiple perspectives. However, international education is still not widely spread and only offered to a small segment of the population.

    Every child should have a chance to make an impact on the world: With this in mind, we launched OPENBOOK to open international education to everyone, regardless of their family's financial situation, and to provide equal learning opportunities. Currently, we have 10 supporting members from various backgrounds and nationalities.

    Various issues in the global world are closely related to our lives. We hope that OPENBOOK will become a place for learning how our voices and actions could positively affect the world, and how we can see such things from various perspectives around the world. Given the current situation, it's difficult to gain such international perspectives through education focused only on Japan. We are committed to promoting international education as much as possible.
