タンザニアの子供たち（14〜22歳前後）のための学校運営を支援していたくボランティアです。授業のサポート（ヘルスケア、環境、PCスキル等）の他、メディアコンテンツ作成等もあります。

無料 活動経費は特にありませんが、宿代・食事代（３食分）が１日につき、10ドルほど必要となります。また、空港からの送迎サービスを利用する場合、片道約3500円（レートによって変動）が必要となります。 |

このインターンの雰囲気
生徒たちはとてもフレンドリーで授業を楽しんでくれます。
平日はボランティア、NGOスタッフと家でディナーを楽しんだり、飲みに行ったりとても楽しいです。
休みの日はみんなで近くのビーチに行ったり、プチ旅行をしたりしてます！

WEEDO Tanzaniaの団体活動理念
Our mission is to transform and empower girls in a sustainable way and to enable individuals to become independent through education and entrepreneurship. In addition, we focus on the conservation of natural resources.
WEEDO - Women Empowering and Entrepreneurship Development Organization - is a non-profit organization in Kigamboni, Dar es Salaam and was founded in 2019 by Rehema Konza, a Tanzanian social entrepreneur.

「教育格差」の問題の現状
Tanzania has experienced growth in the enrollment of girls in primary education over the last few years, however, there is still much to be done to allow girls to complete their education and to become a self-sufficient, independent women.
「教育格差」の問題が発生する原因や抱える課題
Due to traditional cultural and roles, boys are more likely to receive an education than girls. In addition, many girls and young women drop out of school when they reach adolescence due to early marriage or pregnancy. This prevents them from joining the workforce and benefiting from economic development initiatives led by the government or NGOs
In many areas of Tanzania, women still lack the basic freedom that men have. We have observed firsthand through our work with communities in rural Tanzania that women are often treated as property. In some instances, we encountered marriages arranged to girls as young as 12 years old, physically and emotionally abused by their husbands, treated as a source of income, and sold to older men when the household is experiencing hunger. Being held as a domestic worker where polygamy, violence and sexual abuse occurs frequently leads to hopelessness and despair.

We educate the girls on topics such as sexual violence, family planning, business and entrepreneurial skills which helps them to build their confidence.
